Food Goals

Food makes me so happy. I love to eat it, cook it, bake it, read magazines and blogs about it, watch tv shows and movies about it, and even think about it. My food goal is continue my healthy relationship with it. By no means are my eating habits perfect, but like I’ve stated before, I believe I have found a good balance.

Because of my love affair with food, I will often write about it, but I do not intend for this blog to be my food diary. Instead I hope to share with you my experiences with food through recipes, restaurant reviews or outings (i.e. Muramoto), and other food events (i.e. Beer and Cheese Festival or Wine and Recipe nights).

While I enjoy cooking and baking, I am not always the best about trying new recipes…especially if they involve lots of ingredients. Here are the links to some of my favorite, easiest, and most often made recipes:

Chicken
Cheddar Chicken
Chicken Tikka Masala
White Chicken Chili
Thai Chicken and Pineapple Stir Fry

Turkey
Teriyaki Meatballs with Snow Peas and Edamame
Although the recipe calls for chicken, I almost always use lean ground turkey.
Turkey Meatballs

Beef
Spicy Thai Beef
Uglies

Pork
Baked Ziti in a Mornay Sauce with Italian Sausage
White Bean and Sausage Stew
You could definitely use turkey sausages in place of pork.

Vegetarian
Allie’s Macaroni and Cheese
Slow Cooker Black Beans
Black Bean, Quinoa, and Citrus Salad

Sweets
Salted Oatmeal White Chocolate Cookies
Double Pumpkin Muffins
Espresso Crinkles
Frosted Pumpkin Cake
Banana Mango Muffins
Peanut Buttery Bars
