Babymoon in NYC – Day Three

I am finally finishing up my posts about the babymoon!

Saturday morning started with breakfast at Balthazar; we had 9:30 reservations.

This time for a sit down meal.

Brody started with a croissant while I had a sugar donut. It was amazing dunked in my beloved Stumptown coffee.

Eggs florentine for me, eggs Benedict for Brody.

More walking – this time to check out Chelsea Market.

I made Brody take a selfie with me while we sat down and people watched in the market.

This (the Salty Pimp) happened about four hours after breakfast. Shall we call it lunch?

I was one happy pregnant woman considering this was the one place I requested to go in New York.

More walking – this time across the Brooklyn Bridge. I didn’t take any photos because it was crowded and not a very cool experience. More proof that tourist-y things are not for me.

Once in Brooklyn we hailed a cab.

Two of Brody’s law school buddies live in Brooklyn with their wives, so we met up with them. We drank mochas from a local coffee shop, ate delicious cheese, and drank cava and prosecco (they all did at least).

For dinner we had reservations at Blue Smoke, a BBQ place. We had quite the spread with lots of sides: mac n cheese, fritters, Brussels sprouts, fry bread, fries, etc. I had the pulled pork and felt like I barely put a dent in it.

Dinner wrapped up around 10pm, so we called it a night and went back to the hotel to get a good night’s sleep.

Traveling home the next day went off without a hitch – love when there are no delays.

Brody and I both LOVED New York. My amazing husband planned a fabulous trip, and we had a blast enjoying our last vacation for a long time sans-children.
